Christopher Wheeler

Christopher Wheeler

Senior Podiatrist, B.App.Sc.(Pod.), Grad. Dip. Pod., Member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Sports and Exercise Podiatry Australia, Sports Medicine Australia, and of the Vespa Club of Melbourne.

Christopher studied podiatry at La Trobe University and graduated in 1984. Chris has well more than 35 years of experience as a podiatrist and is known for his success with patients, particularly those with running injuries and complex cases. Chris served on the Council of the Australian Podiatry Association (Vic) and for many years was the editor of the Journal of the Australia Podiatry Council, which evolved into the Australasian Journal of Podiatric Medicine. Chris serves as an honorary affiliate of the Division of Podiatry for the La Trobe and Charles Sturt Universities. Chris is a keen runner and wishes he had more time to improve his times.

Damian Cunningham

Damian Cunningham

Senior Podiatrist,  D.Pod.M., Member of the Australian Podiatry Association 

Damian Cunningham is a senior podiatrist who has been in practise since 1992. Damian has enjoyed a wide range of clinical experiences in the UK and Australia. Damian has expanded his scope of practice over the past 30 years to include diabetic and high risk footcare, sports medicine and podiatric surgery. Damian enjoys all aspects of podiatric practice including general footcare. 

Damian has been a keen hockey and volleyball player and has an interest in looking after social and elite athletes. For almost eight years he owned and ran a successful podiatric practice in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the northeast of England, before moving to Australia in 2000 and starting his own practice in Sydney. Damian also has extensive knowledge in caring for the feet of diabetic and high-risk patients having worked part time at the North Shore Hospital for six years in its high-risk foot department. 

In addition to being a full-time member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Damian has associate membership of the Paediatrics Special Interest Group of the APodA, which complements the special interest that he has with his young daughter. 

Matthew Dilnot

Locum Senior Podiatrist, B.App.Sc.(Pod) Hons., Member of the Australian Podiatry Association 

Matt Dilnot is a senior Podiatrist who has been practising since 1992. He has a wide range of clinical experience starting out as a new graduate specialising in Diabetes research at the Alfred Hospital. Over time he has expanded his practice to include sports medicine, high risk medical care and assisting in the resolution of complex clinical cases. Matt still enjoys routine podiatry treatment. Matt is skilled at Keryflex nail restoration. 

Matt has been a keen runner for over 30 years and has enjoyed many leisurely runs with the owner of the Brunswick Foot Clinic, Chris Wheeler over those decades. Matt has worked at past Olympics and University games with elite athletes. 

Matt has an interest in implementing strengthening regimes in the lower limb where possible to improve a faster and more resilient return to normal function. Matt continues to work at the Melbourne Foot Clinic weekly where he has worked for almost 30 years. 
Matt is a past President of the Australian Podiatry Association of Victoria, is a supervising clinician at LaTrobe University and is a clinical examiner of current Victorian Podiatry Graduates. Matt is married to Samantha Saill, also a podiatrist, with whom he has three children.

The Brunswick and Sandringham Foot Clinics will be closed for an extended break over this festive period.

The Brunswick Foot Clinic will reopen at 8.30am on Monday 20th January 2025 whilst the Sandringham Foot Clinic will reopen at 8.00am on Wednesday 22nd January 2025.

Appointments can be made and varied at either clinic using the book online feature of our website. Just click on the orange, Book online now button and follow the prompts.

If you wish to vary an existing appointment please call our clinic number on 9387 8555. Whilst our voicemail service will not be monitored every day during our holiday we will strive to respond to your enquiry in a timely manner.
